Every year, the Crédit Agricole group offers a capital increase reserved for employees and retired former employees of the Group.

In 2023, this offer allowed more than 32,000 of our employees and former employees to subscribe to Crédit Agricole S.A. shares. This initiative, now deployed in 17 countries, benefits more than 90% of Crédit Agricole S.A. employees. At the end of 2023, 6.54% of Crédit Agricole S.A.’s capital was held by our employees and former employees, thus consolidating their involvement within our Group.

Since the company’s IPO in 2001, this system has enabled the realization of eleven capital increases, contributing to the alignment of the interests of employees and shareholders.

Employee shareholding constitutes a complement to remuneration, while ensuring increased stability of Crédit Agricole S.A.’s capital. This initiative is fully in line with the three fundamental principles of our Human Project: empowering our employees, strengthening proximity with our clients, and developing a framework of trust.
