Where will you be working as Depositary Control Officer?

As a Depositary Control Officer your clients will be the major fund manager from the Netherlands and globally whenever they manage a Dutch Fund and meet the AIFMD/ UCITS thresholds. The Depositary has three main tasks: (1) Cash flow Monitoring of all bank accounts of the Fund, (2) Safekeeping duties: ownership verification / record keeping of the assets of the Fund, and (3) Oversight Duties.
You will be working in a team of 9 legal and financial colleagues who are highly dedicated and regulatory orientated professionals.
What will you be working on as Depositary Control Officer at CACEIS?
The responsibilities and tasks of the Depositary Control Officer cover amongst others:
- Perform controls and act as an account manager for clients regarding cash flow monitoring, safekeeping, ownership verification and oversight duties;
- Analyzing fund investment portfolios and monitoring compliance with the investment mandate and applicable rules & regulation;
- Maintain an up-to date assets register to verify the fund ownership;
- Correspondence with clients, fund administrators, custodians and where required with the regulator (AFM) and maintaining good relationship with all parties involved;
- Liaise with other Depositary control teams, within CACEIS Group, to maintain best practice;
- Interaction with other CACEIS teams - custody, legal, compliance and finance department;
- Assistance with the on-boarding process for new prospects;
- Maintain and ensure local/group policies and procedures are kept up to date;
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
What qualifications do you need to work as Depository Control Officer?
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Who can work well under pressure, has a strong attention to details and a proactive approach. Furthermore, someone who has/is:
- BSc or MSc degree in Accountancy, Law, Business Administration or an equivalent;
- 2-4 years’ experience working in financial services, preferable in the fund management industry (e.g. Depositary Control, Asset Management, Fund Administration);
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English, verbal and written.
