Description of Department:

The Financial Steering and ALM division is a team within the Finance Department that encompasses the following product lines within Credit Agricole CIB Americas: Profitability & Internal Pricing (PIP), Asset and Liability Management (ALM), and CFO Solutions (CFX.) The mission statement of the Financial Steering and ALM division is to provide comprehensive analysis of Credit Agricole CIB’s business activities. The scope of the analysis focuses on the bank’s solvability, liquidity, balance sheet, profitability, and regulatory status. Financial Steering and ALM also measures financial risks faced by the bank in order to identify the appropriate hedging solutions necessary.

The CFO Solutions (CFX) team is an evolution of the Financial Analysis team. The objective of team is to server as a liaison between Finance Department and the Business Lines. The team develops, maintains, and operates the analytical and technical infrastructure used to collect, organize, automate, and report financial and regulatory data for executive management, business lines and regulators. The team operates at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Technology and supports both recurring and ad-hoc analytical needs. 

Overview of Position:

  • Produce financial reporting and analysis for local regulators, executive management, and each business line.
  • Ensure management and business lines have continuous, reliable, and up-to-date access to data through team-managed infrastructure.
    • Manage and operate the CFO Solutions technical ecosystem (“Project Encyclopedia”), including:
    • Internally developed Django (Python) application used as a user interface for data access, reporting, and RPA execution and team-managed database (PostgreSQL) infrastructure including physical hardware.
    • Internally developed Python-based scheduling framework (cron) used to orchestrate automated processes.
  •  Serve as Database Administration / MIS for locally developed PostgreSQL databases, including:
    • Management of user rights and row-level security.
    • Management of backups, restores, and multiple environments (production, development, testing).
    • Enforcement of strict internal data governance and access protocols.
    • Ensuring physical database availability and operational continuity on local infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and operate data pipelines and analytical tools supporting financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions using Python, SQL, and internal applications.
  • Ensure data integrity, access control, and governance standards across all locally managed databases.
  • Support Finance and Business Lines with tailored analytics and rapid-response reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data, systems, and reporting issues across the CFO Solutions platform.
  • Coordinate with Finance stakeholders to translate business and regulatory needs into technical and analytical solutions

Salary:

$90,000 - $110,000

    Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
    Training / Specialization
    Essential: BA, BS STEM or related fieldDesirable: MBA or Graduate Degree in Science, Math or Engineering a plus
    Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies Required: 
    • 4–8 years of experience in Python and SQL data engineering / data science.
    • 4–8 years of experience in MIS or Systems Administration, with hands-on management of open-source systems on local infrastructure.
    • Demonstrated experience managing databases, including user rights, row-level security, backups, restores, and multi-environment setups.
    • Experience operating in environments with strict data governance and access control requirements.
    • Familiarity with banking and financial concepts (e.g., interest margin, RWA, Cost of Risk, regulatory reporting).
    Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies Desired:
    • Exposure to financial forecasting, stress testing, or regulatory analytics.
    • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver solutions under tight timelines.
    • Prior experience in Finance functions such as FP&A, Financial Analysis, or Financial Modeling.

    Essential:
    • Advanced Proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL
    • Quantitative skills as well as general knowledge on financial and regulatory topics related to banking activity such as Basel III; 
    • Comfortable with creating and communicating findings/results based on analytical research.
    • Advanced Technical Skills in Python AND PostgreSQL
    Desirable:
    • Knowledge of Access/queries, VBA, Power BI a plus
    • Machine Learning (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow; Dataiku) and Advanced Financial Modelling
    IT tools
    SPECIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS: 
    • Strong business analytics and data visualization skills (Power BI preferred.) Strong ability to understand data findings and correlate results to on-going activities of the bank and market. Strong understanding of Financial Accounting, Regulatory Requirements and Reporting, and other general financial/banking related topics such as RWA, Cost of Risk, Interest Margins, etc.
      • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to operate in an evolving and ambiguous environment.
      • High level of autonomy and ownership across both technical and analytical deliverables.
      • Ability to bridge technical solutions with Finance and business use cases
