Job description

Pricing and Product Development

• Liaise with other internal departments to ensure full consideration of all pricing proposals and analysis of current portfolios;
• Contribute to feasibility study for new products and developments of existing products, including marketing, regulatory and financial aspects;
• Ensure that all current and proposed developments of the product offer are in accordance with the Company’s Underwriting Policy, Underwriting Philosophy and any other relevant internal guidelines and governance frameworks;
• Contribute to the definition and choice of assumptions for calculation of premium rates and for profitability assessment/business plan.
• Accurately assess commercial premiums, profitability, capital needs and stress scenario tests of new product propositions;
• Collect and analyse market and product statistics, benchmarks, and market developments;
• Document new pricing and underwriting schedules for sign-off, maintaining a table of pricing assumptions by product;
• Prepare and present Business Plans and Business Committee documents as part of the internal validation process;
• Ensure completion of peer reviews and compliance with internal processes (control cards, Quotation/Profit Share peer review, etc.);
• Attend internal committees for Italian partners.

 

Analysis and Projects

• Perform client portfolio analyses as required, and prepare client reports and presentations;
• Liaise with Actuarial Reserving and Modelling teams to ensure alignment and a consistent and efficient view across the Actuarial Department;
• Conduct experience analyses to monitor pricing assumptions and ensure continued pricing adequacy;
• Contribute to assigned projects, including tenders and reinsurance;
• Prepare and contribute to various internal management presentations and communications as required.

    Minimum level of study
    Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent
    Training / Specialization
    Qualified actuary pursuant to “Legge 9 febbraio 1942, n. 194”, or an equivalent qualification recognised in foreign jurisdictions.
    Minimum 2/3 years of professional experience within the insurance sector (preferably with experience of creditor/life insurance).

    • Strong analytical skills with a high level of problem-solving capability.
    • Logical, methodical, and systematic approach to work.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
    • Strong capacity to manage, prioritise, and organise workload effectively.
    • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
    IT tools
    High level of numeracy and computer literacy (Visual Basic, Excel, SAS, SQL, etc.).
    Languages
    Italian & English (native or full professional proficiency) - French (nice to have)
