I joined SODICA Corporate Finance as an M&A associate in Paris and then in the regions, before taking responsibility for the e-RIS activity. e-RIS complements M&A, the main activity of SODICA CF. We interact constantly with e-RIS contacts, not only at the Regional Banks and LCL, but also at Crédit Agricole S.A. e-RIS is the Group’s intermediation offer that provides support to selling or buying customers ranging from finding a counterparty to carrying out the operation.

How would you describe the position of e-RIS Manager?

My role is to develop, coordinate and promote e-RIS both within and outside the Group. To do this, I have to regularly update the dedicated IT tool, coordinate and listen to a network of around 40 e-RIS Managers, and communicate on social networks and with the Group’s management bodies. In other words, lots of very different things!

What are the peak periods of your job during the year?

It’s a role with no seasonality and no down time. The entire year is an important time.

Can you describe your typical day?

It’s hard to describe a typical day, they are all different. Often when I’m looking back on the day, I would never have imagined it going the way it did!

What career path is required to reach your position and what are the possibilities for development?

You have to be curious, open to working on multiple subjects and have good interpersonal skills. A bit like a Swiss army knife.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of taking up a similar position?

This is a very fulfilling job because it puts you in contact with a wide range of people. There’s also a lot of freedom, you can shape the role to suit you.
