Can you describe a typical day?
There’s no real “typical” day, as our work depends on the progress of each process and file — adaptability is key! A day is often punctuated by calls with various deal counterparties, research and information processing, investment memo production, and financial modeling.
What background is needed to access your position and what are the career development opportunities?
To become a Private Equity Investment Officer, a degree from a top business or engineering school, along with internships in corporate finance (PE, M&A, asset financing, etc.), is often required. Experience in Transaction Services is also highly valued.
In terms of career progression, the Investment Officer can move on to become a Portfolio Director, and eventually an Investment Director in the long term.

It’s a truly rewarding profession: beyond the financial dimension, it offers exposure to a wide range of sectors and markets, and the opportunity to meet passionate professionals who share their experiences and achievements.
