What is the opportunity?

CACEIS was set up in Cyberjaya, Malaysia in July 2023 with approximately 1,000 employees, with the acquisition of RBC investor Services’ European business and Malaysia centre of excellence.

CACEIS Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 11 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximize efficiencies across times zones and supports a 22/7 operational capability.  The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally. 

Control Assurance team works across 1LoD business units and providing management with an informed opinion on the effectiveness of controls they operate to mitigate material risks. They will be accountable for delivering their portfolio of Controls Testing in line with quality and timeline expectations, ensuring that conclusions are sound, and the results of testing are accurately reflected in high quality written reports. The team will need to articulate findings from testing work to senior stakeholders, raise issues where appropriate, and agree actions plans to mitigate risks identified. The team will be required to work in partnership with a wide variety of stakeholders across Client Operations, to ensure Controls Testing is undertaken efficiently with minimum impact on business-as-usual activities, and to ensure the results of Controls Testing are fully understood. The team will also be responsible for other tasks, including BAU Technical Support, Client Ops Quality Governance, review and challenge the risk and control framework, targeted process review, incident review and action plan governance.

What will you do?

Risk & Control Governance

Provide oversight and advisory function in managing the day-to-day Risk and Control aspect of Client Operations, including technical support in process improvements plan and execution of global/local projects and initiatives.
Optimize and align best practices across Client Operations Malaysia.
Perform independent control testing, reviewing and challenging the risk and control framework and practices in Client Operations.
Conduct end to end process review to address the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Support Client Operations in managing audit, risk and compliance for any query, review and ensure no slippage of all open action plans.

    • Formation / Spécialisation
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
      • 6 or more years of relevant industry experience
      • Have basic understanding of risk and control framework in business processes
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
      • Able to navigate large organizations and build collaborative relationships; Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders in a complex environment
      • Problem-solving skill
      • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders
      • Excellent communication skills; both in written and spoken English.
