You will be responsible to manage the day-to-day processing of reconciliations including Asset and Cash accounts on a daily basis via Reconciliation tools and manual platforms to ensure all risks are being accounted for and highlighted. As a control function, the breaks on the reconciliation need to be kept to a minimum level to ensure accurate data is being maintained. The role is to deliver specific services to external and internal clients with high level of quality, efficiency and fostering a client first mindset. In addition, you will also be responsible in driving the team to ensure that Reconciliations are maintained at the highest standards, managing stakeholder engagements, and driving the change/people agenda. You will be performing analysis on breaks root cause, to drive the reduction in outstanding items & providing excellent breaks management.
You will be supporting Europe region with working hours of 9:00am – 6:00pm or 10:00am – 7:00pm, Malaysia time. However, flexibility is required to support business needs.
What will you do?
- Lead employees using performance management, manage capacity planning, new staff onboarding and provide oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Risk & Compliance Department to ensure policies and procedures pertaining to Operations controls are appropriately implemented.
- Support and ensure integrated approach with the segment strategy, new product development and relationship management counterparties, client service professionals and oversight.
- Report, escalate and ensure aged breaks are closed or appropriately tracked until resolution with best practices and effective management of escalation of reconciliations breaks.
- Mitigate financial/reputational risk by ensuring appropriate structure, resources, procedures and controls are developed and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements or company policies.
