Spirica, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Assurances, is the first insurer to launch a euro-denominated fund dedicated to the fight against global warming.

Called the “Fonds Euro Objectif Climat”, it is classified as “Article 9” under SFDR* regulations – the highest standard in terms of sustainability and transparency – and is now being offered to its Internet partners, and from this summer onwards to asset management advisor platforms and private banks, as part of several life insurance and capitalization contracts.

This major innovation on the market is fully in line with the commitments of the Crédit Agricole Group’s Societal Project.

A rigorous selection methodology
The “Fonds Euro Objectif Climat” is designed exclusively to support projects that contribute to the fight against global warming, by pursuing two major objectives:

  • adapting to change (clean transport, regional planning, clean buildings, circular economy, etc.),
  • and sustainable resource management (renewable energy production, energy infrastructure, sustainable waste and water management, regenerative agriculture and reforestation).
