The Assistant Team Manager, Flow Acquisition Monitoring Malaysia, supports the team lead in overseeing day-to-day operations, focusing on team coordination, task management, and operational efficiency. This role contributes to fostering a motivated and collaborative work environment, assisting in employee development and supporting team performance. 


What will you do?

1. Production and Supervision
• Assist the Team Manager in overseeing daily operations of the FAM team to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
• Coordinate and monitor team tasks, including shift scheduling, leave management, and capacity planning, to maintain adequate coverage and meet deadlines
• Support and guide team members through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing to enhance skills, performance, and development.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), process workflows, and ensure accurate documentation for operational continuity.

2. Monitoring and Escalation
• Serve as the first point of escalation for operational issues within the team, assisting in timely identification and resolution of data flow anomalies.
• Collaborate closely with IT, Data Engineering, Risk, Business units, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining monitoring tools, alert systems, and exception handling workflows to support proactive issue detection.
• Support regular reporting on team performance, operational metrics, incident trends, and KPIs to leadership for informed decision-making.

3. Risk Management
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions to reduce operational risks
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks, and governance standards.
• Assist in audit preparation and readiness by maintaining control documentation and supporting internal and external audit processes.

    Formation / Spécialisation
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems or a related discipline.


    • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data operations, production support, or trade flow monitoring within financial services or a similar high-control environment.
    • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a senior analyst, team coordinator, or lead support role with exposure to supervisory responsibilities.

    Compétences recherchées
    What do you need to succeed? • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders such as Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
    • Exposure to incident management, exception handling, and monitoring systems is highly beneficial.
    • Familiarity with trade lifecycle processes, especially in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment, is preferred.
    • Experience in data operations, trade lifecycle monitoring, or production support within financial services.
    • Prior exposure to exception handling, data validation, and flow monitoring processes.
    • Involvement in team coordination or acting as a senior analyst with mentoring responsibilities.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Risk, Operations).
    • Familiarity with incident escalation and basic control/risk frameworks.
