In 2023, Crédit Agricole S.A. Group renewed its global agreement with UNI Global Union to guarantee a common social base for all its employees. This agreement reaffirms our commitments to respect fundamental human and social rights and promotes social dialogue.

Signed on Monday 9 October 2023 by Bénédicte Chretien, Head of Human Resources at Crédit Agricole S.A. and Alke Boessinger, Deputy General Secretary of UNI Global Union, it also includes commitments to parenthood, with the deployment of 28 days of paid paternity leave.

87% of male employees can benefit from paternity leave in France and abroad since 2023*.

As part of the Ambitions 2025 mid-term plan, Crédit Agricole S.A. group and its subsidiaries have made a commitment to grant new fathers 28 days of paid paternity leave, including the days allowed for the birth of a child. Already launched in several countries where the Group operates and covering more than 75% of employees abroad, the agreement will be deployed within all entities by the end of 2025 at the latest.

This commitment echoes the one made in 2019 by Crédit Agricole S.A. through its International Framework Agreement, which introduced 16 weeks of paid maternity leave for all its employees from 2021.

* The paternity leave is already launched in several countries where the Group operates and is available for more than 75% of eligible employees (Germany, Egypt, United States, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Monaco, etc.), excluding employees in France that are already covered, i.e. 87% overall as of 31 December 2023.
