Job description

Duties et responsibilities


At CACI, data drives our decision-making process. Within the company, the Data & Intelligence Services Team is involved in all strategic projects in order to allow the business units (like the actuarial department or the development teams) to reach their objectives.


The DIS Team is in charge of the management and implementation of data related business projects and processes for the whole organisation.


As part of the Data and Intelligence Services, the DIS Analyst- Strategic Projects will be involved projects that affect CACIs strategic objectives. The team’s mission is to offer Data as a Service. The purpose being to allow all departments of the organisation to access the data needed for the execution of their business processes. This require consistency, reliability, accuracy and security in the framework applied by the team.

A typical set of tasks the DIS Analyst- Strategic projects will have to perform are:
1. Data Collection activity:

  • Define and describe the data needed to be collected and the appropriate resources
  • Formalize, implements, and enforces proper data collection policies and procedures
  • Apply the data quality standards defined in the Data Policy of the company
  • Monitor the production processes to ensure standards are met
  • Industrialise the production tasks to secure and optimise the data quality
  • Streamline and automate the communication regarding the production status to the business departments


2. Data Loading activity:

  • Ensures that the Data Management Systems are operational
  • Documents and performs procedures for data preparation
  • Execute the production procedures to keep the Data Warehouses up to date
  • Identify and produce a first level analysis on the data rejects in complex data sets
  • Tracks and describes/formalizes all data issues according to the scope defined by the manager
  • Implements and improves controls on data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, appropriateness)
  • Escalates any abnormal findings on control cards to the manager


3. Data Warehouse Functional Administration activity:

  • Control, monitor, and manage the end-user access to the Data Management System
  • Run impact analysis on demand on the scope affected by the manager
  • Administration of the Data Warehouses:
    o Monitoring of the data feeds
    o Monitoring, first level analysis of data rejects
    o Administrate the referential to reflect the evolution of the business
    o Specify the data corrections and control their application


4. Project Management in coordination with Team Lead and Manager

    • Minimum level of study
    • Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
    • Training / Specialization
      • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management

      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major organization
      • Previous work experience within an insurance company an advantage
      • Significant experience on advanced analytics projects applicable to development processes
      • Display strong business acumen and ability to transform business problems into addressable solutions
      • Knowledge of data related regulatory requirements (nice to have)

    • Minimum experience level
    • 6-10 years
    • Compétences recherchées
      • Fluent in English (spoken and written), French would be an advantage
      • Customer focused and strong problem-solving skills
      • Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
      • Good team player
      • Interest in technologies and innovation
      • Strong communication skills including the ability to interact effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
      • Familiarity with complex matrix environments
    • IT tools
      • Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and processes
      • Previous experience of Structured Query Language (SQL)
      • Experienced on SAS Enterprise BI tools or similar platform (nice to have)
    • Languages
    • Fluent in English (spoken and written), French would be an advantage
