Job description

This role reports directly to the Finance Manager - Technical accounts and provides exposure to a wide range of activities and projects, which are key to ensuring our success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To undertake and provide assistance in various accounting duties including:

  • Verify accurateness, reliability and completeness of technical data
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly technical accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of third party administrator fees and insurance premium tax calculations
  • Assist in the preparation of reinsurance accounts
  • Assist in two key projects (i) new technical accounting system and (ii) Group IFRS17
  • Preparation of account reconciliations
  • Maintain and update Departmental procedures
  • Provide support to the accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare regular update of the underlying reserving data
  • To be back-up of the fellow colleagues team leader in situation of absence

External Relations:

  • Develop and then maintain good relationships with other key stakeholders
  • Liaise closely with line Manager
  • Maintain good relationship with auditors – external and internal
  • Work closely with business partners and third party administrators

    • Part-qualified accountant; accounting technician; business studies certificate/ diploma/ degree.
