Job description

The Head of Legal is responsible to manage the legal function in Japan and drive all matter of legal & regulatory risk management and corporate secretarial initiatives. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a combination of legal fields and financial institutions, with a focus on managing legal and regulatory risks including the context of (a) commercial contracts and transactions, (b) litigation, enforcement, and disputes, and (c) Japanese asset management regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for drafting contracts/agreements of discretionally investment management, advisory, distribution etc. and regulatory documents related with Amundi’s business
  • Responsible for reviewing relevant documents including contracts and letters in English and Japanese
  • Responsible for legal research on applicable laws, new legal issues and regulations in English and Japanese
  • Act as corporate secretary for Amundi Japan and responsible for BOD/shareholder meeting and other committee/meeting arrangements and preparing agenda and minutes of BOD/Shareholders meeting or other committee/meeting
  • To prepare documentation for corporate matters of Amundi Holding including the minutes of Shareholders’ meeting, miscellaneous contracts and so on.
  • Represent the Legal Function in all relevant local management and governance committees
  • Responsible for handling corporate registration matters
  • To retain documents related to legal and corporate matters
  • Any other matters as instructed by the supervisor
