Job description

Following CACEIS’s acquisition of RBC’s European operations, CACEIS Canada is growing with the introduction of new operational service responsibilities previously handled by CACEIS IS as part of RBC's own Follow-the-Sun model.


To ensure continuity of service to newly acquired North American clients as well as operational activities carried out by CACEIS IS, such as Custody and PERES services, CACEIS Canada is hiring for a Team manager to support the Master Data Services (MDS) Team.

 

Job Duties

In this role, the Team Manager will play a critical role in ensuring team development, compliance, and smooth operations. Some of the responsibilities will include

People Management Day to day tasks:

  • Managing and motivating the team to produce high quality results
  • Acting as local Static Data and Pricing expert
  • Fostering a client mindset to ensure delivery of the services to internal and external clients within prescribed timeframes with a high level of quality.
  • Supporting and leading recruitment, onboarding and development of the team
  • Risk Management and Compliance
  • Process Optimization and Efficiency
  • Providing technical support to the team as needed and intervening in cases requiring business expertise.
  • Leading Daily Team huddles, Weekly Team meetings, quarterly 1:1s
  • Accountable for Global Servicing from operating location (includes shifts and work on bank holidays as required)

Business Unit Operational Tasks

Static Data

  • Open and maintain securities inside Caceis group repository
  • Take charge of business lines' request regarding data management / technical issues inside repository
  • Conduct analysis and data quality controls for client reports

Pricing

  • Monitor the correct reception and integration of provider pricing data inside repository
  • Execute controls to secure data quality and mitigate risks
  • Provide reporting in timely manner to clients and business units

    • Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
    • Training / Specialization
      • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance/accounting/business administration

      • 5 years exp in a relevant financial services role
      • 2 years' experience in a people management role.
      • Banking experience in operations with knowledge of Static Data and Pricing
    • Minimum experience level
    • 3-5 years

      • Good knowledge about Financial Markets in general
      • Prior exposure to Operational Risk and the corresponding risk monitoring tools.
      • Excellent people management capability. 
      • Excellent attention to detail. 
      • Good interpersonal skills and networking skills with all stakeholders. 
      • Good organization skills and ability to prioritize workloads to meet tight deadlines.
    • IT tools
      • Working knowledge of data vendors i.e. Bloomberg / Telekurs / FTID / Reuters
      • Competent in MS office particularly Microsoft Excel (VBA)
      • Working knowledge of Apollo BIFI, GP4 Lux and France mainframe; MDC
