Summary:
Global IT department (GIT) brings together all the IT departments in charge of developing and running CACIB and
Credit Agricole S.A.'s IT system and technological infrastructure.
This position is within the Capital Markets IT (CMI) division which manages information systems for capital markets
activities which include Front Office (FO) booking platforms, Risk Management (RM) control and regulatory reporting
Systems, financial product and contract valuation systems, and much more.
CMI department is looking for a RAD Developer/Commando in NY to work with the trading desks, and lead the local Commando team.
Description of the role:
· Understand key business requirements of Rates and Bonds desks (mainly on pricers and Risk & PnL tools)
and provide an efficient IT accompaniment (support, enhancement, new dev) in terms of tooling, advices,
solutions to help the desks.
· Contribute to trading desks’ growth by providing robust tools and applications in line with IT transformation
program by :
o Refactoring the legacy stack and embracing new technological standards (K8s, AWS cloud)
o Reviewing/enhancing the current tools while upholding high quality standards (coding, CI/CD, DevSecOps standards…)
o Automating any manual process
o Building Web applications when necessary (using Python/C#/React)
o Implementing strong monitoring and knowledge sharing within the community
· Be an active member of the Chapter Commando (a worldwide community of commandos):
o Take part in the training sessions
o Reuse the target tools developed within the Chapter
o Collaborate by sharing new ideas, achieving any ambition…
o Contribute to the new internal development platform framework for Capital Market IT
o Be the chapter main point of contact in NY and drive the change for the commandos in the US
· Maintain strong working relationships with IT teams (including the Chapter members and delivery teams) and
any other team you may interact with.
This role requires a sense of independence and ability to work within a challenging environment.
A broad general knowledge of banking is important.
Management duties as a team lead:
· Supervision of the local Commando team (consultants or perms)
· Assign personnel/services to the various projects and tasks, direct their activities and ensure adequate project reporting.
· Coordination with team’s on-shore/off-shore, third parties or Head Office for major projects.
· Provide input to general architecture - including hardware, network, tools, software, etc.
· Consult with and advise other departments on systems and procedures.
· Develop good relations with the business; follow relationship with third parties, manage / assist members.
· Actively work on continuously improving the environment and bring efficiencies to either improve quality, time to deliver or reduce cost.
· Ensure integrity of all systems - including out of hours support (24/7), where required.
