Job description

Responsible for supporting the Head of DAR PF & Rail (EMEA) in originating, pricing, structuring and syndicating loans and other private debt issuance (bonds, notes, n-bonds etc) for specialist project finance/ Rail /core+ infrastructure assets, primarily for issuers in the following sectors; Infrastructure, Rail, Power & Renewables and Resources & Industry. Plus supporting where appropriate the PF Sales team to distribute these products to banks and investors in primary or secondary or supporting the ERA advisory teams. Candidate must have strong work ethos, high level of motivation, strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and grow by taking responsibilities. Candidate will be joining a collaborative and supportive environment, but with high volume of deal flow and deliverables under pressurized timetable. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and be organized on multiple work-streams.


Key Responsibilities

1. To interact closely, in coordination with and/or support of the senior members of the team, with the investor base (where necessary in coordination with the specialist PF sales), CACIB's origination teams and the rest of the loan distribution team in order to i)support origination activities of EIG/ Rail and the senior bankers where relevant, and other métiers if needed, ii) assure CACIB's PF loan and PP transactions are structured and priced to sell into the loan and private placement market, iii) coordinate the syndication of the debt (in whatever private format) in primary market PF and Rail transactions distributed/placed by the sales team, or support SLT/sales with the secondary marketing of such deals. Such private debt in loan format or structured private placements, whether in the form of loans or bonds/ notes in the relevant sectors;

Ø  Provide initial input to preparation of early bird memos (BOMs);
Ø  Provide appropriate support to the ERA Advisory team in close coordination with the relevant sector coordinator;
Ø  Help provide market view and comparable deals on new transaction pricing;
Ø  Help prepare relevant material for pitches and attend "pitch" meetings with clients and investors as may be required;
Ø  Provide sector focused investor coverage and develop an understanding of investor demand;
Ø  Coordinate feedback from sales on specific investors or from soundings on a name or no-name basis;
Ø  Provide general background information on market conditions and analysis of appetite of individual banks/investors and market liquidity/ capacity as may be required by EIG;
Ø  Help prepare syndication opinions in support of credit applications presented by EIG/Rail, both for underwritings and as a brief benchmark commentary for club transactions;
Ø  Assist in the preparation / agreement of the syndication strategy with ERA, other MLAs / Bookrunners and clients;
