Job description

  • Originate and develop new GCF business in China.
  • Act as the Relationship Manager (PAM) for commodity trader clients under GCF coverage and be accountable for 1) local relationship development measured by growth and optimization of NBI and PI, through active cross-selling of Bank products; 2) risk management as the first line of defence, covering all aspects i.e. credit, operational, compliance, reputational, etc.
  • Liaise directly with GCF clients in running daily transactions, performing collateral risk management, monitoring client's position and supporting RMs for names not under GCF coverage.
  • Prepare call memos and to assist in the setting-up of credit requests with description of the client background, activity, strategy, size, performance, hedging policy and proposed credit facilities.
  • Manage specific documentation / reports - KYC / Account opening documentation and update the existing documentation.

Development of GCF China portfolio
-    Identification of new prospects to be in line with China regulatory framework / China and GCF strategies (CSPs)
-    Marketing and identification of their financing needs, structuring credit facilities, maximising cross-sell potential
-    Putting-up related credit file requests including the description of the client's background, activity, strategy, size, performance, hedging policy, and proposed credit facilities
-    Conduct comprehensive credit evaluations and presentation to the various Credit Committees

Managing GCF China existing portfolio
-    Regular interaction with clients, identification of client's evolving needs
-    Keeping up to date on clients' business developments, commodity markets developments, regulatory framework to ensure the underlying credit risks are within approvals and guidelines
-    Writing-up call memos, credit and portfolio reviews / modifications and presentation to the various Committees
-    Always actively manage and track credit / operation / reputation & compliance risk
-    Cross-Selling to other metiers of the Bank whenever opportunities arise

Monitoring of daily transactions and client's global position
-    Bridge between external clients and internal MO/BO/support functions including but not limited to FCS, RPC, Credit Risk Management, Operations, Legal & Compliance and GCF units in other locations
-    Preparation and/or first validation of the transactions to be presented

      • Obtains and maintains, for duration of employment contract, professional qualifications, licenses and/or permits to perform duties in employment contract, keeps valid for  term of employment contract;
      • Possesses professional knowledge and skills to perform job duties under employment contract;
      • Is not in employment relationship with  other enterprises, individual economic organizations, or employers;
      • Transfers personnel file, social insurance, and housing fund accounts to the Bank or the agency designated by the Bank during required period by the Bank;
      • Is in good physical condition, with no mental diseases or physical handicaps preventing employee from fulfilling duties assigned by the Bank;
      • Discloses and obtains the Bank approval for all non-compete obligations owed to third parties;
      • Has not entered contracts, agreements or other arrangements with any third party which might restrict or prevent employee from performing job duties or obligations under employment contract;
      • Provides true, complete, and accurate personal information and/or documents to the Bank;

      • Observes all  internal policies of the Bank, including but not limited to policies in employee handbook;
      • Meets other recruitment requirements stipulated by the Bank in accordance with PRC laws.
