Team and position
Credit Agricole is among world top 10 banking groups. Our NY based Leveraged Finance team is directly responsible for origination and execution of LBOs with leading Private Equity Funds in North America, as well as financings for leveraged (non-investment grade) corporates, across loans and HY bonds.
In addition, the team is also in charge of event driven financings (M&A and IPO related) for Investment Grade clients, and of leveraged / structured financing transactions in the TMT sector, including the current wave of infrastructure flavoured deals (towercos, data centers, fibercos) with Infrastructure
Funds, across North America and Latam.
Building on its recent successes, the team is expanding to support strong growth ambitions. We are opening an analyst position.
Client facing role on a growing team, expect immediate onboarding to live transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the more senior team members in origination, structuring and execution of transactions for Corporate and Sponsor clients within the leveraged, acquisition finance and TMT space.
  • Identify financing solutions for clients across debt capital markets including bank, institutional, Term Loan B and secured and unsecured high yield bond markets.
  • Contribute to internal and external deal processes with respect to deal documentation, credit and underwriting approvals.
  • Preparation of marketing materials and pitch books for sponsor and corporate clients.
  • Monitor and help team evaluate primary and secondary capital market developments; manage assimilation of related intelligence for preparation of client ready market updates / guidance discussions
  • thorough due diligence, financial and cash flow modelling, preparation of credit requests and financial analysis.
  • training and mentoring more junior staff within the team (VIEs, US analysts, trainees).
  • Prepare capital structure analysis for new and existing clients / situations, including analysis of comparable transactions, ratings analysis, and evaluating market data.
  • Liaise with other teams internally, including interest & FX hedging, liability management, securitization, ECM, M&A, as well as coverage, credit and legal as necessary on new and existing transactions and ongoing client relationship management.
  • Exposure to all stages of transactions, including negotiation and execution of term sheets, commitment documents and credit documents in liaison with internal and external legal counsel. Support to syndication/sales team for distribution.
  • Monitor the existing client loan portfolio for credit quality / financial performance and potential new transaction and refinancing opportunities. Contribution to internal reporting.

Salary Range: $100k - $135k

    • Minimum level of study
    • Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
    • Training / Specialization
    • Relevant academic background (BA/BS degree with economics/finance coursework, or master degree – Msc Finance or MBA).
      Ideally 1-2 year experience in a similar leveraged finance origination and execution environment, direct HY experience and/or TMT vertical experience will be particularly valued.

      - MS Office suite proficiency (modelling with Excel, pitches with Powerpoint), Bloomberg experience a strong positive
      - Fluency in a second language (in particular Portuguese, Spanish, or French) is a positive.
