Crédit Agricole S.A.’s remuneration policy is gender-neutral, with particular attention paid to ensuring equal pay between women and men.
To measure such differences, the Group in France uses the Professional Equality Index set up by the French government. It calculates and monitors the following indicators:
– The gender pay gap;
– The gap in the distribution of individual pay increases by gender;
– The gap in the distribution of promotions by gender;
– The number of female employees who receive a raise upon returning from maternity leave;
– The number of individuals from the underrepresented gender among the ten highest salaries.
The Group has a proactive approach to this Index. Based on results and any identified gaps in France, a dedicated budget is allocated to help reducing these disparities. Since 2020, a total of €14 million has been specifically allocated by Crédit Agricole S.A. to promote equal pay between women and men.
The effectiveness of these actions is reflected in the Gender Equality Index. In 2024, Crédit Agricole S.A. achieved a score of 98/100 (+1 point compared to 2023 and +7 points compared to 2022).
The Group also closely monitors the reduction of gender pay gaps across all its locations and complies with local requirements in this area.
